WORKSHOPS & EVENTS
Show Up. Make Something. Belong Here.
Our workshops and community events are open to children, teens, and adults who want to create, connect, and put their phones down for a while.
AT START, WE MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE
Healing doesn't only happen in the therapy room. Sometimes it happens in a room full of strangers who get it.
Our workshops and events are not therapy. They are a community.
They are the space between sessions where you get to practice being seen, building a creative habit, and meeting people who are doing the work too.
We host gatherings for every age in our village. Kids who need a place to be loud and messy. Teens who are tired of pretending. Adults who forgot they used to love making things.
You will find seasonal mindfulness projects, book clubs, guided drawing, expressive movement, drop-in studios, family days, and quiet evenings designed to slow you down. Some are one-time. Some are part of a series. All of them are intentional, in-person, and phone-free whenever possible.
You do not need to be an artist. You do not need a reason. You just need to want a little more of yourself back.
OUR APPROACH TO WORKSHOPS
We believe community should be more than a calendar event.
It should feel like exhaling. Like you found your people. Like the version of you who shows up is the one who gets to stay. Here is what you can expect from every gathering we host.
Experiential
You will not sit and listen to a lecture. You will make, move, write, draw, and talk. We design every workshop, so you leave with something you made and something you felt.
Trauma-Informed & Affirming
Every event is led by clinicians and creatives who hold space without forcing it. You decide what you share, what you make, and how deep you go. We are LGBTQ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, and culturally humble across every age group we serve.
Phone-Free & Present
Most of our offerings ask you to step away from screens. We protect this space on purpose. Being unreachable for a few hours is part of the medicine.
Community Centered
You are not here to perform. You are here to belong. We build small groups on purpose so you actually meet the people next to you.
Accessible
We offer workshops at different price points, on different days, and for different ages, because access matters. If cost is a barrier, reach out. We will work with you when we can.
How Our Workshops Show Up for You
Whether you are five or fifty-five, there is a way in. Our events are designed to meet you at your stage of life and your stage of needing something different.
For Kids
A space to be loud, quiet, messy, focused, and themselves. Our children's workshops build emotional vocabulary, body awareness, and creative confidence through play.
For Teens
A room where you do not have to explain yourself. Where the art does the talking when the words feel stuck. Where being a little weird is the point.
For Adults
Permission to make something just because. Permission to gather. Permission to rest. Our adult offerings are for the creative inside you who has been waiting for an invitation.
For Families
A chance to make alongside your kid instead of watching from the sidelines. Our family events are designed for caregivers and children to create together, on the same floor, with the same materials.
For Creatives
For the artists, musicians, writers, dancers, and makers who need a village. Our gatherings are a place to be witnessed by people who understand the work.
For Anyone Curious
You do not have to be a client, an artist, or a regular. Showing up once is enough. Showing up scared is enough. Showing up is the whole point.

Common Questions About Our Workshops & Events

No. Our workshops and events are open to the public. You do not need to be in therapy with us, or in therapy at all, to come.
-
No. Our events are educational, expressive, and community-based. They are not a substitute for therapy. If you are looking for clinical support, our therapists are here for that, too.

Not at all. Most of the people who walk through our door have not made anything in years. The process is the point, not the product.

Most of our community events are in-person at our West Islip, NY office. We protect that on purpose. Being in the same room with other humans is part of what makes it work.
-
Many of our gatherings are phone-free. We will let you know in the event description when that is the case. We do this so you can actually be where you are.
-
Click the event you are interested in, register through our online store, and you’re in. Spots are limited on purpose so groups stay small.

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before an event are eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future workshop. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
