Outside the therapy room, Nicole loves spending time with her family and their two dogs, grounding in nature at the beach or in the woods, and reconnecting with friends over a lot of laughter. Many days she leans toward a low-key vibe, a cozy movie, a seasonal craft in progress, a local cafe, or a board game night. Every so often, she is out at a live musical performance or a stand-up show.

  • Intersectional and Culturally Attuned Care
Nicole identifies as a bilingual Hispanic/Latina woman of color with Caribbean and South American roots. She is passionate about the empowerment of marginalized communities, particularly BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients, and has spent her personal and professional life examining how intersectionality ripples through our inner and outer worlds. She brings that curiosity into the therapeutic space, holding room for lived experience, cultural context, and identity to be part of the work, on your terms.

  • Trauma-Focused Work Across the Lifespan
Nicole brings trauma-focused care to clients of every age, from young children in parent-child dyads to adults revisiting old wounds with new resources. Her training in TF-CBT and Child Parent Psychotherapy grounds her clinical work, while art therapy offers an entry point when words are not enough. She helps clients understand what they have carried, honor the survival strategies that got them here, and slowly build new ones that support the life they actually want.

  • Support for Life Crossroads and Self-Esteem
Some of the most powerful work happens at the crossroads, the moments when who we were is no longer who we are becoming. Nicole helps clients navigate these transitions with support around boundaries, self-worth, and self-efficacy, gently untangling the internal narratives that no longer serve them. Her goal is to help clients reconnect to their own agency and step into the next version of themselves with clarity and confidence.

Nicole Calderon is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist who creates a safe space where clients can feel truly seen and heard, doing collaborative work that ignites inner wisdom and opens the door to transformational healing. She loves working with individuals who have identified a yearning for growth and are willing to take actionable steps forward, whether they are healing from trauma, learning to set boundaries, or standing at a major life crossroads. Nicole believes we each carry a story that deserves to be witnessed, and we each deserve the chance to build a real sense of mastery in our own lives.

Her therapeutic approach integrates art therapy with trauma-focused work, CBT and TF-CBT, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and attachment-based, strengths-based, person-centered, humanistic, multicultural, motivational interviewing, and holistic frameworks. She moves fluidly between modalities so the work can meet the actual human in the room, not a checklist. Nicole holds space for the layered, the messy, and the tender, offering support that acts as a guiding light back to a client's own inner resource.

As a bilingual English and Spanish-speaking clinician, Nicole has worked with individuals and families across a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Her experience spans the full lifespan, from clients as young as two years old to older adults, and often includes people navigating concurrent diagnoses, chronic health conditions, immigration challenges, economic hardship, and system involvement. She has foundational training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and has spent the past five years supporting parent-child dyads who have experienced trauma, work that requires both technical precision and a great deal of heart.

"We each have a story to tell that deserves to be seen and heard. We also deserve the ability to achieve a sense of mastery in our lives. My hope is to provide clients with a unique level of support that acts as a guiding light back to your own inner resource."
