Lili Chasen is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist with specialized training in drama therapy who creates safe, nonjudgmental spaces where sensitive adults can heal from traumatic experiences. She specializes in working with clients who have experienced sexual trauma, guiding them through a collaborative journey toward deeper self-understanding, unwavering self-love, and empowered post-traumatic growth. Growing up immersed in theater, Lili discovered firsthand the profound positive impact that creative expression can have on mental health. The transformative power of performing arts not only helped her navigate personal challenges but also instilled in her a deep appreciation for the healing potential of creativity.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Self-Compassion Therapy with drama therapy techniques. Lili is trained in therapeutic theater and storytelling techniques, taking an eclectic approach to trauma processing that allows clients to articulate and process their emotions in new ways. She practices trauma-informed care and makes sure to develop comforting, trusting relationships with each of her clients so that deep healing can take place. Through her own experiences, she's learned to harness creative writing, illustration, and dance as vital tools for supporting herself during difficult times, and these artistic practices have become essential in her journey toward self-love and discovery.
With her certification in EMDR and specialized training in drama therapy, Lili brings robust clinical skills combined with creative modalities to help clients explore and address underlying issues. She believes healing and personal growth are deeply rooted in a strong, empathetic therapeutic relationship. Her goal is to guide clients toward a richer understanding of themselves and their capacity for change, helping them develop a compassionate approach to their own self-care and feel empowered by their post-traumatic growth.
Outside the therapy room, Lili loves to dance, draw, write, walk, and speak with the people and animals she loves. She really enjoys reading historical fiction novels that transport her to other places and teach her about experiences far outside of her own. Her favorite season is autumn, her favorite sweet is caramel, and her favorite animal is the humpback whale.

"As a therapist, I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where my clients can freely express themselves and deepen their understanding of who they are and what they wish for. I view therapy as a collaborative journey where therapist and client (maybe you and I!) can build a genuine, trusting partnership that facilitates exploration, understanding, self-expression, and most importantly, self-compassion."
