Ania Wasowicz is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Board-Certified Art Therapist who works best in her practice when helping children, adolescents, and young adults navigate different life changes and identity development. She particularly enjoys working with young adult clients in their 20s, a time of transition, change of focus, and large growth, where she can apply practical actionable steps and help bolster skills, which is ultimately her core strength. Ania believes everyone has the capacity to heal and grow when given the right tools and support. Witnessing growth and confidence increase in areas clients may have believed would not happen is beautiful to witness.
Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, integrating Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), creative arts therapy, and practical skill-building. Ania uses EMDR and a trauma-informed approach to help clients process past experiences and regulate emotions in a safe, supportive way. She focuses on building practical skills for managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, and improving communication and boundaries. Her aim is to make therapy relaxed and conversational, keeping things lighthearted while providing honest guidance and real-world tools clients can use. She hopes clients learn to set healthy boundaries, communicate more openly, and feel confident expressing their needs and emotions, both the difficult and the positive ones.
With a Master's degree in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling, EMDR certification, and experience working in both private practice and inpatient psychiatric settings, Ania brings robust clinical expertise to her work. In addition, she has completed supervision training to support the professional growth of other clinicians. Her goal is for clients to worry less about being "too much," trust their ability to handle life's challenges, and build a daily life that feels balanced, connected, and genuinely enjoyable.
Outside the therapy room, Ania enjoys being part of a book club and exploring new stories with fellow readers. She loves hosting get-togethers for friends and family, diving into true crime documentaries, and watching quirky history and "how it's made" videos to uncover unexpected stories.
